WHAT IS HEALING AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Most of us lead a very stressful busy life and because of that we are not aware of the warning signs of illness. A warning sign normally comes as a pain in the body but often we ignore the pain hoping it will just get better by itself or we will wait for it to get bad enough to justify a visit to the doctor
Healing is both the art and science of assisting the restoration of health at all levels of a persons being. A trained healer will use their hands to tune into the frequencies of the human energy field and transform the frequencies when and where necessary to alleviate suffering.
If you have a keen interest in understanding how healing works on a deeper level and you have missed my previous articles, I can highly recommend reading books on quantum physics, metaphysics and morphogenetic energy fields. Science is continually making advancement in these fields. I believe that future generations will be better equipped in understanding these disciplines.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GO TO A HEALER?
Once the therapist has taken down your personal details you will then have the healing procedure explained to you. You will be asked to either sit or lie down fully clothed. There are numerous healing modalities available so the technique used could vary. Seek out an accredited therapist near you on the websites listed below.
WHAT BENEFITS CAN I EXPECT?
A healer will encourage you to be more aware of your overall health by identifying the root cause of stress and dealing with it before it has had a chance to damage the body on a physical level. Emotions are often the root cause of stress leading to illness. Past stress is stored in the body even long after you think you have mentally dealt with it. As stress accumulates health is being affected over a longer period. Generally people start by feeling tired and run down and eventually experience other symptoms. Personal responsibility for ones health is encouraged, this is sometimes difficult as it may mean making changes in life style and thought patterns. Many find that when inner change occurs it helps to make health problems more manageable.
After therapy you invariably feel more relaxed and have a feeling of lightness. The body knows how to heal itself once it has a free flow of energy. The healer is the channel to facilitate the process.
WHAT IF I HAVE HAD A SERIOUS ILLNESS OR SURGERY?
Healing can speed up the recovery from a serious illness, surgery and treatments like chemotherapy and radiation. It works well in conjunction with all forms of holistic medicine and with new approaches to cancer. Healing also helps to control pain.
WHAT ABOUT MY DOCTOR?
Healers do not interfere with medical treatment, as healing is always “ in addition to” and never “ instead of ” conventional medical care. Healing is complementary to all other forms of treatment. If you are having medical treatment in addition to healing, make sure your doctor or homeopath monitors your progress so that your medication can be adjusted accordingly should it be necessary.
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO VISIT?
Healing is not a “quick fix.” The frequency of therapy varies according to the health and well-being of the person at the time. The initial therapy sessions may require more frequent visits. As the client’s condition improves and a sense of well-being is achieved, visits will be less frequent.
Healing goes to the deeper levels of a persons being where many illnesses originate (stress, tension and fatigue) Symptoms are relieved or disappear when the cause is removed.
Some individuals find significant relief even after the first session.
I am often asked what sparked my interest in healing ……I will make this the content of my next article!
